UPDATE - State of ½ûÂþÌìÌÃCybersecurity Issues Impacting Retirement Contributions
On February 6, 2025 the University of ½ûÂþÌìÌÃ(UA) was informed that eReporting, the Division of Retirement and Benefits payroll reporting application, is back online. The Division is now implementing a phased approach to bring all Division employers back online and process the backlog of plan contributions (both employee and employer). The Division is anticipating that this process will take a few months to complete.
Lost Earnings
The Division, in consultation with the Department of Law, has determined that it would
be appropriate to provide compensation for potential lost earnings during the period
contributions were not posted. The compensation method used will calculate earnings
on plan contributions/deferrals from the date the first payroll should have been posted
up to the day it is posted into employee accounts and ready for investment.
Timing
UA is not sure how long it will take for the Division to be fully functional and process
the backlog of plan contributions. As such, UA employees should not expect to see
contributions or any lost earnings updated right away. The Division has implemented
a phased approach and expects this process to take a few months.
