Anchorage Chamber Announces 65th Annual Gold Pan Award Winners

The Anchorage Chamber of Commerce’s 65th Annual Gold Pan Awards “Met Gala: Art of
our Community” was held on Friday, November 18, 2022, at the Dena’ina Civic and Convention
Center. Chamber members and community leaders participated in a silent auction hosted
by Premier Auctions & Appraisals; games of giving for prizes like two roundtrip
tickets on Airlines, tickets to r via Ravn Alaska, and snowshoeing excursions
with Go Hike Alaska; photo ops courtesy of Photo Emporium Alaska; and various food
stations. Proceeds from the games go to foster future Anchorage Chamber events and
programs.
In line with this year’s Met Gala theme, guests viewed local art displayed by Brian
Martin, Carlos Pereira Art, Denielle Baldwin, Marissa Amor, Mike McArdle, Lake Hood
Life, and Young Kim. Works included many mediums from acrylic and archival pigment
prints, oil paintings, and metal prints to photography.
Thank you to Sophie Minich, CIRI’s President & CEO, for the evening’s land acknowledgment,
and to the 2021 Gold Pan Award winners, Disinfection Services, Anchorage Downtown
Partnership Ltd., Channel 2 & CBS 5, and Matson for attending and introducing the
